I HAVE A NEW BABY GRANDDAUGHTER 

Hello everyone .... I haven't blogged for a while as my daughter in law went into labour 2 weeks early so my partner and I had a mad dash up North to be with her and my son and my grandson .... and here she is  Ava, with her big brother Luca 

OK back to crafting .... 

Here is a tag I have just made for a swap with a friend of mine Sandra ... we have done 2 tags with different themes and this is one of them .... I would love to hear what you think of it ...

NEW CHALLENGE 

Crafty-Emblies have a new little challenge going and all you have to do is take a photo of your craft work space as it is RIGHT NOW .... no tidying up first LOL  !!!!

So here is mine 

this is rather tidy for me .... i wonder if its because I haven't done any crafting today : )   

No matter how hard I try to keep it organised and tidy I fail .... every time .... oh well at least I have fun ...

Well today Crafty-Emblies new challenge has gone live ... the theme this month was 'Make something for the boys/men'    click on the link at the left side of my blog which should take you straight to the Crafty-Emblies challenge blog and have a go, its so much fun taking part....

Here is what I came up with for my DT entry ..

I made the tool box from Crafty-Emblies small postcards for the front, back and the base.  I then used chip board for the ends and for the centre handle part ... You cant see in this photo but there are 2 compartments, one at the front and one at the back ... I thought the back compartment would be good for holding either a birthday/fathers day card or even a gift voucher ... 

I gave it all a coat of red paint then rubbed it off on the edges to give it a more used look . 

For the letters I used Crafty-Emblies 'Tools' the T is 2 spanners, the O's are from the 'gears' and the L is a hammer upside down.... I then painted the large screws and placed them in the front compartment.   The tools I used for the letters are made in bigger sizes and would look great in the compartments.

OH MY GIDDY AUNT ....

Well what can I say ....... I have just been asked to join the Crafty Emblies Design Team !!!!!    I am beside myself with excitement .... I can not wait to get started ...

Here is an altered canvas I have made .... inspired by Bex Swanson .... she is a great artist and I love her stuff ...  I decided to have a go at 'Steampunk'   never done it before but i actually enjoyed it and I am looking forward to doing some more ... I had an old broken watch that i stripped down and used the face and the glass... I put the glass over the ladies eye then glued a chain all the way around it to make a monocle .... I used an art tile which was sent to me from a friend who I did a swap with and used some of the wonderful stuff from crafty emblies ... wing, keys, cogs and one of the words which says 'Dream'

oooooo 2 days in a row .... I'm on a roll lol ....

I hope you all had a great christmas, my partner and I stayed with family for Christmas.  Christmas to me is all about being with family and enjoying time together.

Today I am showing you a card I made for an order I received last month.... this is what I call my scene cards simply because it is a little scene .... the details of the order were ... had to have a speed boat with a personalised name ... Freddy Mercury and lake  Geneva  and a bottle of Evian water ...

I decided to put the bottles on the little plaque at the front containing the birthday message ...

I have only been able to post the photo today as today is the recipients birthday and I didn't want to spoil his surprise.

HELLO EVERYONE

I have finally put my christmas tree up .... I am SOOOOO late this year ... but things have been busy here ... any way its now up and our house feels all festive .

LEJ Designs have put their new challenge up today and its all about sentiments,  Christmas is a GREAT time for sending sentiments to the special people in your life... so why not kill 2 birds with 1 stone (as the saying goes) and enter the challenge ...
