It's been awhile 

Hi again ..... I have been busy making thank you gifts and cards as I got Married to the love of my life last December and its taken me ages to get caught up ...

I have altered a bird house for Fernli Designs   This is the larger one that they make and its great fun and can be used as storage too .... 

Here it is before altering ...

This time i decided to give it a vintage folk style ... it was loads of fun ..... here is a link to the process video with instructions on how i painted the roses and the birds .... PROCESS VIDEO

This was such a great project and much quicker than you would think to do .... I gave it as a baby gift for my nephew's baby daughter ... i simply wrote the babys name on one side of the roof and on the other i wrote her date of birth, time of birth, and weight at birth ...

Stampin' Up Cards

Hey guys .... i am a huge fan of stampin up and have bought mny of the retired sets off ebay and some selling sites on Facebook ...   The one i am using today is  Two-Step Stampin .... 'Greenhouse Garden'

 all the cards are also made from scraps so all odd sizes so I had to make the envelopes to match .... and none of the sizes I needed were on my punch board so had to back to the good old fashioned way .... 

Inks used on all the cards are Stampin' Up and are 

Watermelon Wonder

Crushed Curry

Costal Cabana

Summer Starfruit

Bermuda Bay

Certainly Celery

Crisp Cantaloupe

Family plaque

Hello everyone and a very happy 2016 to you all .....

My first make for Fernli Designs this year is a 'Family Plaque'

I started by using the Plaque-with-5-hearts and some extra hearts which are also on the website ..

I covered both plaques and all the hearts in Designer paper and trimmed the edges with Washi tape.  I then inked around the edges with green ink.

I used Florishes 3 set which i heat embossed using the Wow "Sensational Sage"  ... it doesnt show in the photo but it is a beautiful sparkly green.

The last thing to do after adding all the ribbon was to write the names of the family members onto the hearts ..

This really was a very quick and easy make yet I think it works really well ... and is a nice thing to have hanging in someones home .

HALLOWEEN & FERNLI DESIGNS

Hello everyone .... It will soon be one of my favourite times of year .... HALLOWEEN .... I LOVE decorating my house inside and out , I LOVE all the kids dressed up and coming Trick or Treating .... I JUST LOVE EVERYTHING about it ...

Any way onto my latest Halloween Design Team make for Fernli Designs 

This year I wanted to do a banner for my wall as last year I made the little Halloween Scene which was MEGA FUN. 

I obviously started with the banner plaques

Then primed them with black Gesso ... I always find that if I don't do this and just put glue straight onto the wood then apply the paper that the glue seems to show through the paper ....

once painted and decorated with paper I made the paper rosettes and chose all the embellishments I wanted on the banner .. 

Witches Hat and the Broom Stick are both Fernli embellishments  ... The paper collection is 'Chillingworth Manor'  The letters are cut from grunge board.

The Lamp post is an embelishment from Fernli Designs

And I used another Broom Stick for the last plaque ...   I wish I had seen the 'Spell Book'  

collection as these would look AWESOME on any Halloween Themed project ...

FERNLI DESIGNS FEBUARY 2015

Hello again 

Here is my Design Team make for Fernli Designs   

I wanted to make something I could keep up to display my granddaughters art 

I used the large Artist Palette which is only £0.95p 

What a bargain !!!!     I painted it with white gesso first then used the Cosmic Shimmer Matt Chalk paint ... then used a splodge stamp I have with a variety of different colour inks and the butterfly stamp is from Visible Image and is called Butterfly Inkognito ... I LOVE this stamp ....  I also used some alphabet letters  and at only 10p each are perfect for making ANY project personal .......  the last thing to do was to decorate 2 pegs and glue them onto the palette and add some bling .

FERNLI DESIGNS DT MAKE JANUARY 2015

Hi Everyone,   Here is my Design Team make for the month of January .... I have used 4 of the little matchboxes , and 3 of the Iron fences

 

 To glue the boxes together I used Collalls Tacky Glue

 I used Cosmic Shimmer Matt Chalk Paint  to paint the Iron Fences
