The next folder I had was Darice 'Dogs and paws on side'  I LOVE LOVE LOVE this folder and for those who know me know how much I LOVE my little pooches ... This is a photo of my gorgeous little Bess (English Springer Spaniel)  and I used the Die'sire Sentimentals 'Friends and Family' stamp set for the greeting the paw print card is from my stash.

A note book using the Darice 'Dogs and paws on the side' embossing folder

The challenge this week was Seasons Greetings ... I LOVE Christmas but my best friend Carole Foley doesn't .... we were out shopping recently and I said to her how excited I was seeing all the Christmas decorations around and hearing all the Christmasy music ... her response was ...."Oh yeah !!!!  Merry F....ing Christmas"   only she didn't miss any of the wording out LOL ... so when I saw this image by Lindsay LEJ  ... I KNEW I had to make Caroles christmas card with it

Don't forget to join in the fun over at www.lejchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk

Wow how quick this has come round again .... wish I could slow time down for a day ....

Any way onto the challenge over at LEJ's and this weeks theme is "CELEBRATE" ..... I chose this digi (Gone Fishing) from Lindsays as I wanted to do a mans  retirement card .... the idea for the fishing rod popped into my head and I just had to give it ago.
I used a lollypop stick for the rod and some twine for the line (I am sure any of your fishing people out there are cringing right now and screaming at me .... 'you could NEVER catch a fish with that thing!!"  .... so to you all ... i am sorry ...BUT it was fun to make )
I added a small hook which I had from some curtain rings from Ikea and tied it to the end of the twine.   For the fish I found a royalty free image from the internet and printed it on printable acetate (first time doing that and it was SO easy )  then added the googley eye to the fish and also hooked on the tag with 'Happy Retirement' on it too ... the embossing folders are from Crafters Companion's Embossalicious range.

Thanks as always for stopping by. Your continued support  really does mean a lot to me

This weeks challenge theme is "Winter Wishes"  and be anything a long as it covers winter, thats one of the great things about the LEJ challenge it doesn't have to be a card, if you feel you want to make something else then go for it :)  cool or what .....

So here is my make for this weeks challenge
I used a stamp from Banana Frog ... (which sadly no longer trade) ... for the background, some ribbon from my stash and then printed LEJ's 'Snow Flake' on to printable acetate (only the 2nd time I have done this... but love the effect...)   then used a glue pen to cover the image and used some micro fine glitter in this gorgeous icy blue colour
Then finished it off using some mesh bling I have.

Please go over to the challenge blog and join in the challenge ... there are some great prizes up for the winners

This weeks theme is 'Something Shinny' here is my entry

A while ago I asked Lindsay to design an airplane for me as I have a few ideas in mind for one ... then I decided to use it for this challenge ...At first i coloured it in using a silver metallic pen .... but they really don't work too well on large areas ... so changed it to 4 different grey tones and used the metallic pen for smaller elements, then a white posca pen for the highlights.

Don't forget to head on over to the blog for this weeks challenge and enter for your chance to win some great prizes ...

Hey everyone ....

Boy am I behind or what .... I had my grandchildren to stay and I didn't have a minute to even think about crafts let alone blogs, challenges or anything else .... I have 2 DT projects to show you both are late so I will start with the oldest one first

This was for LEJ DESIGNS .... The theme was Nature Inspired ...

I took a digi image of LEJ's of a dragonfly and printed it as large as I could get it on A4 paper then cut it out ... I then pinned it to some fabric and cut the image out leaving about 1/2 inch space all the way around, so I would have enough room to sew it and stuff it with fiber fill . It was so much fun making this and thats what I love about Lindsay's designs there are options to do lots of things with most of them ... you are not restricted to just doing a card.

The theme for Eclectic this time was 'ALL ABOUT THE SENTIMENT'   I  have this sentiment which i love ... I am a huge dog lover and have 2 English Springer Spaniels  ..... but this stamp I have of a puppy bull dog is just soooooo adorable and I love the image

Many many thanks for stopping by

It has been a MEGA exciting week for me .... As you may know I was invited to join the Crafters Companion Design Team a few weeks ago and have been making samples like there is no tomorrow.  Leann Chivers has been on Create & Craft tv since Monday showcasing the new range of Christmas Dies and embossing folders designed by Leann for Crafters Companion ...

They are GORGEOUS and wonderful to work with ....   it has been very surreal seeing my some of my work on TV .... here are the things that I made that have been on TV ...

'As seen on Tv'    LOL .... i have been dying to say that lol ...
Here I used the Die'sire 'Fir Trees' die .... there is SO much you can do with these dies and they are wonderful to work with .  The stamp set is called 'Happy Holidays'  and is by Crafters Companion  and boy are they gorgeous ... they stamp perfectly every time ... they come unmounted in red rubber and are just so fab .... I love them.

This card was made using the 'Holly' Die'sire colection from Crafters companion and is again fantastic to work with ... I cut out the holly in 3 different shades of green and added stickles to each leaf just to add some sparkle I also used deep red flatback pearls for the berries ... but the die does come with 2 sets of dies especially for the berries in different sizes .

I had loads of fun with this project and it started its life as a cardboard box which my dishwasher tablets come in .... it is so thick and sturdy and great for projects like this ...  I wanted this to have a vintage feel to it ... I again used the 'Holly' die from the Die'sire range (the link is above in the info of the last card) and I also used the "Classical Frames" and as you can see they are gorgeous  ... i added some chain, added pearls and some red jingle bells to the top and it sounds JUST like christmas ... I love it ... oh I also added some lace to the outside edge with I gathered.

Last but not least I made this

For this I made the 'half box' using chipboard and printed a 'free' image from the internet of a winter scene .... I then cut out 3 of the larger 'Fir Trees' (link above with the first image) and scored them in half and glued them together to make the 3D tree ... I then used the 'Wrought Iron' Die'sire die for the fence which I glued together to get the length I wanted and added some 'Snow writer' to it ... I also used  the 'Lamp post and Sign' die from the Die'sire range and cut out the lampost 3 times, again scoring them down the centre and gluing them together to get a 3D lamp post.

I have made some other stuff but I can't show them yet until they have been shown by Crafters Companion first ....

Thank you all so much for stopping by

Love and hugs Tina xxxx

I am sooooooo bad .... I completely forgot to show my design team make for Eclectic Ellapu this week !!!!!

The theme was 'Make something for a teacher'    This was great for me as my partner is a teacher ..... and no she is NOT girly at all .... plus there are MANY male teachers out there and other female teachers who are not into girly colours or flowers .... So I made my project with my wonderful partner in mind ....

It is made from 1 of the stackable boxes you can get in most craft stores and I glued the box and the lid (turned upside down) to a piece of chipboard .... decorated it using Kanban 'Industriana' paper range (which I LOVE )   .... next thing to do was cover an empty soup can for pencil and pen storage (using the same paper range throughout )

I then covered a small notebook and rolled some paper (matching the note book cover) around the pen refil and inserted it back into the pen tube ...  I also made a little cover for some post it notes and decorated it with an owl .... (all teachers are wise just like an owl ..... or so I was lead to believe when I was at school)    I used my Stampin' Up punch 'Owl Builder' and decorated the outside of the post it note pad.   I then repunched out the owl using scraps of designer papers and glued this owl onto an over sized paper clip to be used as a book marker ...

I am really pleased with how it has come out and my partner is really happy with it and will have it on her desk when school starts again in September.

Thank you so so much for stopping by

Hello everyone

It is LEJ's new challenge .... LOVELY LACE ...

I found this digi image in the 'Romantic' section on LEJ's website and thought it was perfect for this challenge
I decided to do an easel card so the lace could be seen better  then added some more lace to the other places on the card ... the silver plate things are from a belt I found in a charity shop .

I really liked this digi image and it is so perfect to adapt to anyones wedding as you can use the colour of the couples theme ...
