HELLO

I hope you all had a great christmas, my partner and I stayed with family for Christmas.  Christmas to me is all about being with family and enjoying time together.

Today I am showing you a card I made for an order I received last month.... this is what I call my scene cards simply because it is a little scene .... the details of the order were ... had to have a speed boat with a personalised name ... Freddy Mercury and lake  Geneva  and a bottle of Evian water ...

I decided to put the bottles on the little plaque at the front containing the birthday message ...
I have only been able to post the photo today as today is the recipients birthday and I didn't want to spoil his surprise.

Thank you for stopping by and I would just like to say a huge thank you to you all for supporting me and my blog ..... HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL ..... I WISH YOU ALL A FANTASTIC, HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS 2013

Love and Hugs

CRAFTY-EMBLIES DT CALL

Hello Everyone ....

A few days ago I read something that got me very excited ..... Crafty-Emblies are looking for 3 people to join their design team.... If you have used any of their products you will understand how wonderful it would be to join their design team ...

Here are my 3  Favorite altered items I have made in the last few months.

1.  Desk Tidy
This first one started out as an old cookery book ... I got the idea off youtube but took it a step further by adding the sections  for holding pens, sharpener's, sticky notes etc, while the folded pages are great for holding notes, cards  & photos.. simply slide them between the pages.

2 ... Halloween

This is a little scene I put together for Halloween this year ... it was my very first order from
Crafty-Emblies and I saw the Tag and thought it would make a great tomb stone ... I built the base from chip board and added acetate to mount the ghost and the bat so they would appear to be floating above and in front of the tomb stone.

3....  Christmas Waterless Snow Globe

My third entry is my version of a waterless Snow Globe ... this started its life as a coffee Mate tin
I cut out a window and painted the whole thing white.  I lined the inside with black handmade paper which has flecks of silver (I chose this so the light would bounce off the flecks and make the inside sparkle)  I glued the reindeer into the front and cut out and glued a fence behind the reindeer.  I bought a battery operated fiber optic christmas tree and placed this behind the fence. Once the decorated lid is in place and the tree is lit it gives a great effect and looks wonderful .... I added flocking to the fence and the floor of the tin for snow.  I was very pleased at how it turned out.
This was made for a swap and the recipient has done a video on youtube ....  her youtube name is .......Debbiehemsworth

Thank you all for taking the time to read and look at my blog

Happy Saturday

Hello .... today I would like to show you a 'sort of' snow globe I have made ... I have taken part in a snow globe swap and my partner is Debbie Hemsworth  (she is on youtube under this name too ... go check out her stuff .... WOW WOW WOW .. she is awesome)

Any way here is mine for the swap ... I have put a small battery operated fiber optic tree at the back to light it all up & used a black handmade paper containing silver speckles in it to line the back wall. They really sparkle when the tree is lit  .... I needed to keep it enclosed so the tree would show to the best of its ability ... hope you like it.
Thanks as always for taking the time to stop by my blog

Happy Saturday Morning people ...

I started my morning by watching a christmas movie ... they always put me in a happy mood ...

This is something I have been working on for a few days ... wish I had bought Gold gauze instead of the red ... I thought the red was much deeper in colour, but oh well may be next year I will get the gold and make another one ...

I would love it if you would leave a comment for me ... good or bad : )

Hello everyone ...
I hope you are all well and have been busy crafting ( .... I seem to have done more on the computer than crafting lately )

I have taken part in a Facebook craft swap group with a bunch of wonderful ladies ... it's the UK & Ireland Craft swap  group ... they come up with some great challenges and everyone is so lovely and welcoming so why not drop by and have a go ....

My latest swap was for "Mail Art"  where you basically decorate an envelope in any way you want ... it doesn't have to be one that is for posting, as many of us hand deliver our cards so you and decorate till your heart is content ...

Here is my first effort ....

Its been fun doing something new ....

My next challenge is a 'water free' snow globe ..... so far my biggest challenge is actually finding a jar to use .... Watch this space I will keep you updated .

Happy crafting friends xxx
and as always thanks for stopping by

Well ... I've had a few busy days so not much crafting has got done ....   I have more good new though ... I am now a member of the design team for LEJDesigns .... it feels like all my christmases have come at one lol .....

I have made this today and also worked on a few other projects I have on the go at the moment ...

I have used an oasis flower ball, a wooden dowel rod and a terra-cotta pot...
I stamped a swirly pattern on to white card then punched out (what felt like a million ) flowers from a punch that I have.   I then used a ball tool and a thick mat to make the flowers curl up then attached the flowers using small silver pins to the oasis ball .... I then glues a crystal gem to the centre of each flower to hid the head of the pin.

I cut strips of green tissue paper and rolled them around the rod to hide the wood.  I filled the pot with a bag of sand and fixed the rod into the sand and covered the top with moss...

The ribbon i have used is wired and I bought this last christmas last year from Wilkinsons.

Hope you all like it ... thanks for taking the time to stop by and read my blog .... I would love to get some feed back and comments from you all xxxx
