LEJ DESIGNS

Hey again ..... LEJ designs new challenge went live yesterday ..... I am a bit excited about this one ..... Well mega excited to be honest .... The theme ..... CHRISTMAS IN JULY !!!!!!  I love love love CHRISTMAS .....

Here is what I made

I have to admit .... I am very pleased with it .... It is made from a cereal box , the base and mantel shelf are foam board and the detail on the fire surround is 3 coffee stir sticks glued together.. there is one each side of the fire open bit and 3 above the opening ...
The clock is an LEJ designs digi images which I printed 4 times and decopaged so it would be free standing (it has a small piece of card behind it to prop it up .... the stockings and the gingerbread man are also LEJ digi images (brand new designs ... how super cute are they !!)
The candle sticks are made from 2 small wood circles 2 round beads and a tube shaped bead ... I used a glue stick cut into small bits for the candle its self and stuck a small piece of wire in the top for the wick which i dipped into black paint to make it look like it had been burnt .... then painted the whole things black ...

I also decopaged the stockings
I hung 3 large beads onto invisible thread from the mantel.
]
the snowman and the parcel are also LEJ digi images which I resized, cut out and coloured onto card .... (the box is also a new design )
the fire in the grate is made from the top of a washing powder box, I glued some diamond shaped beads to the bottom to give it fancy feet and painted it all black .... I got the twigs from out of our street where we have a grass verge and some HUGE trees ....( I got some VERY strange looks form the neighbours when I was collecting the sticks lol )
I also glued a small stack of logs (twigs) on the other side of the hearth just to finish it off ...

Thank you once again for taking the time to stop by ... Please leave a comment if you can as I would love to know what you think : )

DON'T forget to join in the challenge
