LEJ DESIGNS

Woo Hoo ..... yet another challenge is live and ready and waiting for you to pop on over and join in ....   The theme this week is 'The Sun Has Got His Hat On !!!'   Great time of year to get those summer stamps out and make something fun ....

Here is mine
This cute girl is from LEJ  and I LOVE this image .... I coloured the digi image with my copics and fussy cut it out .... the Deck chair is a template ( just a tip if you ever make this ... use a heavy weight PAPER rather than card !!!  Learn by MY mistakes ...I used card .... boy do I wish I hadn't it was so hard to fold on the score lines )

I printed the Digi image 4 times and decoupaged 'Ellen'.   I cut out the bottom part of Ellen from her waist down and also cut out her head and hat .... its hard to tell from the photos but looks great up close ...

Don't forget to head over to LEJ and see the other Design Team makes and join in the fun

Eclectic Ellapu

Yay a new challenge at Eclectic Ellapu and the theme this week is 'A Recipe Card'   For this you have to have 1 Image (stamped or Digi) 2 Embellishments (ribbon, gems ,charms, buttons etc) 3 different papers and 2 Die cuts ...

This is the first Recipe Card I have ever made and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would .... so here it is ...

Not much to explain really .... I put the bird die cut in to keep in with the London theme I decided to do ... its meant to be a Raven, like the famous ones from the Tower of London ..

These beautiful charms were a gift from my lovely friend Kerry Codling ....AND they arrived the same day I made the card ... talk about good timing Kerry .... one is a Palace and the other is a crown ... I LOVE them .... thank you honey xxx

Thank you to everyone who visits my blog whether its once or many times I am always grateful to you for your time and support

ECLECTIC ELLAPU CHALLENGE

Great challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu and the theme is 'B IS FOR..........'  You need to incorporate 3 things beginning with the letter B .... head on over and see what great makes the Purple Design Team has come up with ....

Here is my project
B is for BOX
B is for BLING ..... who doesn't love a bit of BLING .....
B is for BIRTHDAY CARD ...

I recovered this box (which I got from a car boot sale) and added the file pages which are labeled 'General Birthday' 'Childrens Birthday" "Wedding & Anniversary' 'Get Well & Thinking of you" and "Open and Blank"

I have made a selection of cards for each occasion and now all I have to do is personalise  the card I want to suit the person I will be giving it to .... Great way to be prepared for those birthdays, events and  those unexpected times you need a card ....

Hope you like it ... please leave a comment

Thank you for stopping by and don't forget to enter the challenge at Eclectic Ellapu

LEJ DESIGNS CHALLENGE

I am sooo late in posting this .... I haven't been very well : (      enough moaning lol

This weeks LEJ Challenge is 'Celebrate'
I saw this gate on LEJ blog and loved it ..... it reminded me of a gate that would lead you to a walled garden .... the perfect place to have a celebratory garden party ....
I cut the image in half so I could have it so the gates opened .... Then I feel it all went wrong

I tried doing a garden scene but I didn't think it worked .... I wanted to add something other than the PARTY banner but no matter what I tried it just wouldn't work so I ended up leaving it like this ......
BUT I am VERY VERY unhappy with the inside and feel that I have not done justice to Lindsey's beautiful gate (but the image I had in my head was FAB .... wish you could all see in there ) ..... so Lindsey I apologise for my terrible effort for this challenge : (

thank you for stopping by and I hope I am forgiven for my terrible card ....

YAY My 1st Design Team Project

My very first DT project for eclecticellapu

The theme was self made flowers ... doesn't matter what you make them from or what you use them for just make them .... how cool is that ... so on to my project

I decided I wanted to wear my flowers so I stamped onto some canvas(using stayzon black ink and heat set it with my heat tool)  that i had left over from stretching a canvas to paint on (soooo glad I kept the scraps ... I KNEW I was right NEVER to throw anything away LOL )  then I put the canvas through my big shot using the Tim Holtz die 'Tattered Florals'   Before assembling the Jewellery I coated the flowers (both sides) with Mod Podge to make it much more durable.
I poked a hole in the center of the 2 flowers and put a brad through ... I used the back of the brads to fasten the flowers to the leather cord ... and the one for the chain I used 1 on the arms of the brads to make a loop to go around the chain ....

Hope you like what i have done and thank you as always for stopping by
